The method

How the books are made

One subject per book

One program or one discipline at a time, covered in full: whoever opens the book need not look elsewhere for the missing pieces.

From the basics to real cases

You start from zero and end with work you can hand in: scaled drawings, parametric definitions, site documents.

Checking stays with the professional

Every result comes with a way to verify it, because responsibility for a design rests with whoever signs it.

Drawn plates

Every figure is drawn for the book as a vector plate: sharp in print, consistent with the others and updated with every new edition.

Codes stated explicitly

References are spelled out in the text, with the date they were last updated: NTC 2018, ministerial decrees, procurement rules.

A shared layout

The same grid and typography in every book, in print and on Kindle: the books are recognisable on the shelf and on screen.

New authors

Volume 05 is still to be written.

Progetto e Calcolo is not a closed series. Upcoming books will be written by invited authors: lecturers, practitioners and researchers who bring their own discipline to the series, with the same method and the same editorial care. The series editor follows every book from the table of contents to print and writes its preface.
